How do I use it?

Open the packaging, remove the silicone tips from, and inhale from the white end. Breathe in and out naturally. There is no button or anything else you need to do.

Take 5-10 puffs whenever desired. There is no upper-limit on the amount of B12 you can have in any given day.

There is 20mg of vitamin B12 (methylcobalamin) in each vaporiser which is the equivalent to 20 x 1mg vitamin B12 injections.

When it runs out, throw it away or recycle it – you’ll know it’s out because no more vapor will come out and the LED will no longer light up.

Does it work?

The inhalation science of B12 dates back 60+ years. During that time, it has been shown that B12 inhalation can be a lot more efficient than oral supplementation, and completely non-toxic. It is also proven that vaping herbal teas such as lavender, peppermint and chamomile promote a calming sensation.

But is inhalation really that much better than taking pills?

A direct quote from an academic, peer-reviewed paper on the subject tackles this question:

“To further evaluate the efficacy of pulmonary absorption of the inhaled B-12 over and above the evidence afforded by the clinical and hematological response previously described, urinary excretion studies were performed… Upon oral administration of B-12 at dosages as high as 10,000 mcgm B-12 activity in urine has been shown to be less than 0.05 millimicrograms/ml. After inhalation of only 200 mcgm of B-12 in saline, B-12 activity in the urine reached the level of 0.26 millimicrograms/ml and following inhalation of approximately 500 mcgm of B-12 in a lactose powder B-12 activity in the urine rose to 0.134 millimicrograms /ml. Direct pulmonary instillation of 100 micrograms of crystalline vitamin B-12 by means of the bronchoscope resulted in a urinary excretion (9.76 millimicrograms/ml.) pattern equivalent to the intramuscular injection of 60-80 mcgm.”

These measurements imply that inhalation can be order(s) of magnitude more absorbent than pills.

Why is vitamin B12 so important?

According to the National Institute of Health:
“Vitamin B12 is a nutrient that helps keep the body’s nerve and blood cells healthy and helps make DNA, the genetic material in all cells. Vitamin B12 also helps prevent a type of anemia called megaloblastic anemia that makes people tired and weak.”

The UK Vegan Society, the Vegetarian Resource Group, and the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, among others, recommend that vegans either consistently eat B12-fortified foods or take a daily or weekly B12 supplement to meet the recommended intake.

In other words, getting enough vitamin B12 is very important.

But I read on the Internet you can’t vape vitamins?

A couple of our competitors have been rightly called-out for selling products that contain numerous vitamins that can’t be effectively vaporised. The reason for this is the RDI (recommended daily intake) on these other vitamins is so high that you wouldn't received an adequate dose of each vitamin. However, vitamin B12 is an ideal candidate for vaporising as the RDI is much smaller; the inhalation science goes back half a century.

The studies found that inhaling B12 was both safe and very effective. We recommend reading the primary academic literature on our science page.

Can I take too much B12?

According to WedMD “Even at high doses, vitamin B-12 seems fairly safe. Experts have not found a specific dose of vitamin B12 that’s dangerous. No tolerable upper intake levels have been set.”

How long will it last?

Each vaporiser is designed to last 3-4 weeks of daily use as directed. By industry standard, our atomizer has a rating of ‘700 puffs’ though no one we know has ever actually achieved 700 puffs. We estimate closer to 250 real world puffs.

How do I know when it’s out?

The LED light at the bottom of the vaporizer will stop lighting up, and no more vapour will be produced when inhaling.

What are the ingredients?

They are as simple and pure as it gets:

Organic vegetable glycerin, deionized water, lavender, peppermint, chamomile, passionflower, jasmine, eucalyptus, fruit flavour extract (water, organic ethyl alcohol, natural & synthetic flavours), vitamin B12 (methylcobalamin)

We NEVER use: nicotine, tobacco, propylene glycol, diacetyl, or acetyl propionyl

Does our product contain diacetyl or acetyl propionyl?

No. Our products do NOT contain diacetyl, acetyl propionyl, propylene glycol, nicotine, tobacco, or cannabinoids.

Is it safe?

According to the existing research on B12 inhalation:

“This simple form of therapy is not only effective, but safe and economical.”

It is also worth noting that the long-term effects of vaporising, in general, are not fully understood.

How to verify how well Inhale Calm works for you?

In order to verify its effectiveness for yourself, you can follow some simple steps below:

  1. Consult your Doctor. Buy vitamin B12 blood tests at your local pharmacy.
  2. Go without B12 supplementation for 1 week (get your Doctor’s permission first) to establish your baseline B12 levels.
  3. Get your first B12 blood test performed.
  4. Inhale 20 puffs of Inhale Calm.
  5. Wait 5 minutes.
  6. Get your second B12 blood test performed.
  7. Repeat 4-6 for as many days as you’d like.
  8. Plot the results on a chart and see how well it worked for you!

Does vitamin B12 really give me energy?

Low B12 levels are often associated with fatigue. Taking B12 in those cases can be very beneficial for energy, but what about everyone else? Many swear by B12 as an energy aid, it is a primary ingredient in products like 5-Hour-Energy, but the science is unclear that B12 can be used as an energy aid for people who are not low on B12 to begin with. Customers that have lower B12 levels are the ones that should see the most energy benefit from using our products. Others may not see much of a difference at all.

Who shouldn’t use Inhale Calm?

Anyone with a sensitivity to any of the listed ingredients, cobalt, nickel, or vaporising in general should NOT use Inhale Calm. Please consult your doctor for any health-related questions.
